Our ride leaders have been researching a brand new destination ride! Where is it? The beautiful Barkhamsted Dam is about an hour north of Ridgefield, up 84 to route 8. This 65 mile route up into the Berkshires is one of the  most beautiful rides we have ever ridden, Just as pretty as Kent, with beautiful views, long stretches along a lovely river, quiet nicely paved roads and a great lunch place halfway. BUT it has some very challenging double digit climbs from mile 15-25 and mile 35-45. For that reason we recommend only B, B plus or A riders register and we would also recommend not riding the day before.

Ride meets at 8.45am to depart at 9. A group will meet at the Bike shop at 7.30am to carpool or convoy up to be at the start for 8.45am. Park at the Barhamsted Dam car park right at the junction of routes 318 and 219 on your left. Lunch will be preordered and waiting for us (if you register!) at the lovely Blackberry River cafe in Canaan. Following the ride, your ride leaders will buy the first round at the White Horse pub on the way home!

Ride will be rescheduled if there is rain via posts on Twitter/Facebook the morning of the ride. This will be the official club B ride for Sunday June 26th, but we will try to offer shop rides for B minus and C.  Any questions please contact Darren at darrenlmarshall at hotmail.com or 9173995809
