To kick off Labor day weekend we will be taking a drive up to Freedom Park north of Lagrangeville.
Becky and Barry Fagan suggested the route and you know its a good one if those guys have ridden and recommended it. It's a little longer than usual (42 miles) so the ride start will at 9am (not the usual 9.30am).
It's around 50 minutes to get there - west on 84 then north on the Taconic to 55, left on Velle Rd, right on Skidmore and right on Town. Just plug in Freedom Park to google maps (but double check it's on Skidmore Rd - I'm told sometimes it brings you to the small park in downtown Lagrangeville). There are bathrooms at the Park but they don't open til noon so plan accordingly. There's a Country Store/deli in Clinton Corners called Jeanie Bean at mile 25.
