Our route takes us down to the North County Trailway Bridge, which crosses the Croton Reservoir. After a short stop at the bridge, we will then begin our return trip. We will be stopping for a light lunch about four miles into the return at the Trailside Café https://www.trailside-cafe.com in Yorktown. After lunch, a mostly downhill 16-mile ride will return us to the parking lot.
The ride is 100% on well-paved rail trail, so road bikes are fine. It passes through Brewster, Mahopac and Yorktown. Much of the ride is shaded by the abundance of trees along the route.
