Ashokan Reservoir Ride

The weather gods just aren’t with us this time. Looking like rain all day. Perhaps we can pivot to Spring… Stay tuned.
Description: Beautiful scenic ride along the shoreline of the Ashokan Reservoir, beginning at the Woodstock Dike Trailhead Parking Lot in West Hurley, NY, and heading clockwise along Route 28A over the spillway, turning onto the car-free Promenade for some unobstructed views of this fabulous reservoir. We continue back onto 28A to the Western end of the Ashokan at The Boiceville Lot where we pick up the 11-mile rail trail back to the start.
The entire route is a little over 30 miles, approximately 13 miles are car-free, with gentle elevation overall. The rail trail is cinder, very well maintained and suitable for road bikes.
This ride is open to all members and all levels. We will be traveling at a touring pace.
If you have time, bring a picnic to enjoy post ride or head up into Woodstock for a bite after.
