With fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate .... Our route will take us down to the North County Trailway Bridge, which crosses the Croton Reservoir. After a short stop at the bridge, we will then begin our return trip. Depending upon the wishes of the group, we may stop for a light lunch about four miles into the return at the Trailside Café https://www.trailside-cafe.com in Yorktown. After lunch, a mostly downhill 16-mile ride will return us to the parking lot.
The ride is 100% on well-paved rail trail, so road bikes are fine. It passes through Brewster, Mahopac and Yorktown. Much of the ride is shaded by the abundance of trees along the route. This ride has a few gentle hills but is mostly flat.
