Description: Come ready to ride the Dirty Dutchess. The event will start and finish at the Black Snake Brewery in Staatsburg NY. This event is considered a Meet UP event(1) for RBC members. The short course 40 miles/2500ft will take you past horse farms, hidden lakes, and the famous Omega Institute. The mostly rolling mixed terrain will make for a great day on the bike. This route will be restricted to the western side of the Taconic Parkway.
The long route , the Metric, also mixed terrain will bring pain at 62 miles/5500ft of climbing. You will pass farms and homes of grand stature. some owned or formerly owned by stars of stage, screen and sports. This route will be almost entirely on the western side of the Taconic Parkway but does venture to the east side
Intro to Gravel 20 miles 1200ft of climbing. This is a group leader led ride and we all stay together. There is no rest stop but there is a store. Bring a proper road or gravel bike.
(1) RBC Meet UP events are not RBC rides. They are rides from another organization, and as such, RBC members need to sign up and accept the terms of the organization that is running the event. The posting of the event in the RBC calendar are for informational purposes and to facilitate member meet ups for the event.
Riders must have gravel tires with "Recommended" minimum 38mm gravel tire width. No road tires allowed on this ride. Riders with road tires will not be checked in.
