BEGINNER CYCLIST SERIES:
We are happy to announce the return of Mala Ranade and her New Cyclist Series that has been so popular in prior years.
Are you new to group riding or getting back on your bike after a long break? Our Beginner Ride Series is designed just for you!
Join us for a gentle, supportive introduction to group and road riding. Over the course of four rides, we’ll help you build your confidence and comfort on the bike while riding in a small, friendly group.
What to Expect:
-
A relaxed pace on the Maybrook Trail – a quiet, paved, and mostly flat trail starting in Brewster, NY
-
Hands-on guidance in gearing and shifting, group spacing, safe passing, and more
-
Practice using hand and verbal signals, learning key road rules, and following group riding etiquette
-
Encouraging, experienced ride leaders who are there to support you
Whether you’re a complete beginner to group riding or just brushing off the rust, this series is the perfect way to enjoy riding in a group and rediscover the joy of cycling.
Let’s ride together – safely, confidently, and at your own pace!
Each session is progressive and will build on skills taught on previous rides so participants should make every effort to attend all 4 sessions.
As participants gain confidence in their riding, they will join the Tuesday C Building Skills and Confidence road ride to practice newly acquired skills in a safe and fun environment. The rides will be well supported with at least two experienced riders who will encourage you with pointers as you ride.
Space is limited so Reserve your spot today!
