Description: The goal is to post a Travel Gravel ride at least once a month. The objective is to ride some awesome gravel routes that are outside of our local area ~ generally within two hours of Ridgefield.

This is a RBC Event with two route options which Start/Finish at the Rifugio Litchfield Hills Club parking lot. The long route is 42 miles (55% unpaved, 2950 ft elevation) traversing the White Memorial Foundation to Washington, CT area in a loop-ish fashion. Much of the route will be very nice gravel, with certain areas having some single track zones and a small section (50 feet) of Hike-a-Bike conditions.  The short route is 22 miles (63% unpaved, 1500 ft elevation) stays primarily in the White Memorial Foundation area ending with a spin around the Bantam Lake camp ground peninsula.

RIDERS MUST HAVE GRAVEL TIRES. "Recommended" tire width would be 38mm or larger. No road tires allowed on this ride. Riders with road tires will not be checked in and will not be covered under club insurance.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before start and have route downloaded. There are picnic tables outside the club, so bring sandwiches and libations for the post ride gathering. Try the local creamery on the way home.
