Description: The goal is to post a Travel Gravel ride at least once a month. The objective is to ride some awesome gravel routes that are outside of our local area ~ generally within two hours of Ridgefield.

This is a Rifugio/RBC Event with two route options which Start/Finish at the Rifugio Litchfield Hills Club parking lot. The first 18 miles will be beginner-friendly, looping back to Rifugio. Riders who wish can finish here with a shorter ride. Those continuing will roll out for another 21 miles at a slightly higher tempo. An additional shortcut option at mile 34 will allow riders to shave off a couple of miles toward the finish. The ride is planned for ~39 miles, with regroups and adjustments depending on the week’s group makeup. Some weeks it rolls as one blended group, other weeks multiple pace groups may form depending on ride leader presence.

Other Rifugio Notes: Your first 3 Rifugio sessions are on us! After that, we ask that you become a Rifugio Member to keep joining in. Please RSVP and accept the Rifugio Waiver on the Rifugio Litchfield Hills Strava page or Click Here

RIDERS MUST HAVE GRAVEL TIRES. "Recommended" tire width would be 38mm or larger. No road tires allowed on this ride. Riders with road tires will not be checked in and will not be covered under club insurance.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before start and have route downloaded. There are picnic tables outside the club, so bring sandwiches and libations for the post ride gathering. Try the local creamery on the way home.
