This Rail Trail ride gives you a choice from three starting (and finishing) locations with varying mileage and elevation gain. Pick your point of origin ... Holmes, Stormville/Poughquag, or Hopewell Junction. Those starting at Holmes will pickup those starting in Holmes, then Stormville/Poughquag and then everyone joins together at Hopewell Junction for the ride to Poughkeepsie and over the bridge to Highland! The route is entirely on paved rail trail with limited road crossings and no need to ride on the road besides the crossings.

An inside rest room is available at the Hopewell Junction Depot and Port-o-San type facilities are located at several points along the DCRT route. Restrooms are also at both ends of the Walkway Bridge. History tells us it is about 1 hour 50 minutes to the bridge from Holmes
The break is scheduled at the visitor center on the west side of the bridge with clean bathrooms and a variety of food trucks to meet everyone's interests. Each cyclist is on their own for any incurred expenses at the stop.
