RBC will once again escort the Special Olympics Torch Run, hosted by theRidgefield Police Department.
The Torch Run is put on by police departments throughout the State of CT. The Torch Run takes place every June leading up to the opening ceremony to the 2026 Special Olympics Summer Games being held in New Haven, CT on June 6th & 7th. For athletes and officers alike, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is a story of success, love, respect, and commitment between law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes. The run will take place just before our regularly scheduled Friday 9:30 ride. The ride will take us through the streets of Ridgefield, past two schools with all the kids out to support the athletes and finishes down and along Main Street. Please tell your friends and family to come on out and support our local Special Olympians.
