Sunday Travel Gravel

Description: A shorter route is uploaded, as I expect some storm debris will be encountered. New route (25 miles, 2K feet of elevation, 63% unpaved) with climbs and long descents. We travel in the Mt Tom area, into the Hidden Valley Preserve (along the Shepaug River) and the Step Rock Preserve. Please have the route downloaded as we start @9:30am so we can get home for the World Cup final.

RIDERS MUST HAVE GRAVEL TIRES. "Recommended" tire width would be 38mm or larger. No road tires allowed on this ride. Riders with road tires will not be checked in and will not be covered under club insurance.

Skill Level: B and above

Asphalt Pace: 12 -16 mph average

Gravel Pace: 6-12 mph average (Terrain dependent)
