  • Learn the techniques and etiquette for safe, fun and fast (if you want it) group riding. 13 mph avg teaching pace, 12 or 18 mile loop depending on group.
  • Ride Bennett's Pond and head over to The Hickories for post ride party.
  • Trail, 3 Mile and 5 Mile Options

The Hickories is our local farm offering certified organic produce, pasture raised meats, woolens from their sheep, flowers from their garden, 4 season CSA's and an elegant, rustic location for events...like our amazing Thirsty Thursday at The Hickories!

THIRSTY THURSDAY: What you need to know...

Parking: Farmingville Elementary School, 324 Farmingville Road, Ridgefield, CT. There is no parking at the farm. It is a short walk/jog/ride over to The Hickories from the school. 

Post Ride: Enjoy beer, wine, farm raised sausages and the beauty of The Hickories Farm. Farmer Dina Brewster and her family graciously host this yearly favorite Thirsty Thursday event.

What to Bring: Lights (front and back), downloaded route, money for amazing Farm Store!

Tell Your Friends: Group Riding 101 Pod: This no-drop group will focus on the dynamics and etiquette of riding in a group. 13 mph avg, 12 or 18 mile route.

Don't Forget: TT's are club supported and depend on your participation. If you enjoy riding TT, please join RBSC at www.rbsclub.org.

RUN INFO:

  • Time: 6:00 for Demos, 6:30 for Run
  • Run/Demo Start: Runs will start at The Hickories Farm, 136 Lounsbury Road, a short walk/jog over from parking at the school.
  • Run Options: Athletes can take trail shoes and do the little loop around the property. OR take a road pair and do either...

ROAD RIDE INFO

  • Time: Meet at 5:50/Leave at 6pm
  • Ride Start: Ride will start at Farmingville Elementary School, 324 Farmingville Road, Ridgefield, CT. Line up according to pace according to signs. Ride will end at The Hickories Farm (easy riding distance from parking).
  • Non-negotiable: Ride in groups of 6 or less, Adhere to all traffic rules, Be respectful of other riders and cars, Ride safe at all times, Sign Up Online.

The Routes: All riders must have route loaded in GPS or have printed cue sheet.

MOUNTAIN BIKE INFO:

  • Meet at Bennett's Pond Reservation at 5:50 for a 6pm Intermediate Man Bike Ride. Post ride, drive over to The Hickories for post-ride party. Please RSVP so we have enough supplies.
