  Thirsty Thursdays Live On, as long as we can, during the shoulder season with various routes in the local area. Cyclists should be ready to roll at the starting time listed, with route downloaded. Rides are usually followed by a quick bite to eat at a local establishment for good eats and cheers.

  THE WEE BIT O'SCOTLAND RIDE!

  Join us for our (almost) Annual Destination Ride to a Wee Bit o'Scotland at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville CT on Sunday, September 28th. at 9AM. The ride coincides with the Annual Round Hill Highland Games celebrating Scottish heritage with highland game competitions, pipe bands, dancing, music, clans, food and vendors.  We will ride a lap of the Lime Rock track BEFORE the event!!! Tickets are $15 for our riders & they should be purchased in advance (see details below).

  Wear your RBC Club Colors! 

  Bring your family and friends to the festival while you ride! Bring a contribution to our Pot Luck Lunch, lawn chairs and cooler! Wear your kilt! Note there is a kilted mile race at 2pm in the afternoon if you still have the legs.

  

  We will meet 8.30AM for 9AM at LRP thru the Entrance Gate and hang a right to the RBC tent. Travel time from the shop is 1hr 15Mins.

  From Ridgefield, take route 7 all the way to route 112 and make a left, the track is on your left about a mile up the road on https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39933135Rt. 112.  

  We will be having a Pot Luck Lunch under the RBC Tent. Bring a fun item to share with your RBC friends! There's no alcohol for sale at the Festival, so BYOB. We will have tents set up, but you might want to pack a lawn chair.

  We will have a Piper send us on our way.
  

  Both the B and C routes are fairly flat routes similar to the Kent ride with scenic views of the Berkshires. The B ride will also enjoy a spectacular 360 view of the Berkshire Hills on Baldwin Hill.  The C ride will have similar spectacular vistas.

  Riders will buy their own snacks & drinks at the rest stops.  Lunch is POT LUCK at the Festival.

  A/A-/B+ Route: 62 Miles, A: 17+mph avg, B+: 15.5-16 mph avg pace

• Ashokan Reservoir Ride--Leaf Peeping Edition

  Description:   We weren't able to get there in the Spring--so much rain! But the leaves should be at or near peak when we visit this time of year, and that's a real bonus! Over the last number of years the infrastructure surrounding the Ashokan Reservoir has been undergoing significant reconstruction/rehabilitation, and while  there are still ongoing projects and  finishing touches to be made, no further disruptions to traffic/trail flow are expected, according to the NYDEP. So let's do it! 

  Parking:  Woodstock Dike Trailhead is directly off Route 28. It's mostly a dirt lot and tends to fill up early. Carpooling is highly recommended.

  Toilets:  Located at Woodstock Trailhead, the Promenade, and Boiceville Trailhead (western end of the loop).

  Food:  There are no planned food stops, so bring plenty of ride food and hydration. After the ride, weather permitting 1) we will plan to picnic, right at the end of the trail, so bring your favorite picnic basket and a chair. 2) In years past, a few in the group have opted to meet at a local brewery. If there's interest is that, I'll circle back and list as an option, so talk amongst yourselves for that one and let me know.

  Equipment:  The road portion of this ride is gently rolling terrain along Route 28A, which is a quiet, 2-lane highway with limited shoulder. The sight lines are very good along the entire paved portion. Depending on your comfort level, you do NOT need a gravel bike to do this ride. The rail trail is hard-packed crushed cinder and very ridable. (I might suggest lowering the tire pressure a little on the trail section for comfort and additional traction.) Again, depends on YOUR comfort level. Gravel bikes (all-roads) are a great option, too.

We will be stopping for pictures all along the Promenade, as it has the best reservoir views. Once we leave the Promenade and are back on Route 28A, we will ride as a group (no great places to stop for pics along the road section) to the Boiceville Trailhead and return to West Hurley via the rail trail , where there will be more opportunities to stop and enjoy the views.

  Weekend-long fall cycling in the Green (Red, Orange & Yellow) Mountains of central VT: multiple routes and disciplines including road, gravel, MTB trail and downhill in self-paced self-supported pods out of Pittsford VT.

  Please indicate preferences when you sign up. Multiple route and destination options below for all three disciplines - why not mix it up and try an alternative option each day? 

  Where ? Rides start from/finish at Telemark Ski Club, 3692 Route 7 North, Pittsford VT 05763 (except gravel and MTB routes)

  The Telemark Ski Club (https://www.telemarkskiclub.com/) in Pittsford was founded in 1936 in Brooklyn New York as a Private/Member run Ski Club for families of all ages who enjoy all types of winter and summer sports. Located north of Rutland, VT, the lodge is a short drive to multiple resorts and centrally located to Vermont's other major attractions and recreation areas. It is available for year-round use by members and their guests. The large Victorian comfortably sleeps up to 50 people complete with linen and towel service.

  Guest rate: $30*/night. (cash/check)

  *Note: For 15 or more guests, a chef may be available Saturday evening at an additional cost of $20 per person. In the event of less than 15 people (or chef unavailability), the commercial kitchen and grills are at your disposal, plus there are many local dining options in close  proximity

  Two days, six routes and a whole weekend of fun in Saratoga Springs!

  Saturday’s rides wind through fields, farmlands and Fall foliage with stops at local legend King Dairy Farm Store (is it really too early for ice cream??) and the Saratoga Battle Monument, a 55-foot-tall stone obelisk erected in 1883.

  Sunday’s rides will honor the 248th anniversary of the Battle of Saratoga.  Ride the back roads through the very fields where American forces first defeated the British army – the turning point of the American Revolution.

  Meet your fellow riders at the Friday night pre-reg and meetup at Whitman Brewing with food and drink specials! After the ride, relax, shop and dine in downtown Saratoga Springs. Check out our Happy Hour page for exclusive rider specials on wine and craft beer!

• Shawangunk Grit - Gravel Event

  Close out your riding season with a ride to remember at Mohonk Preserve! 

  Join us for an epic fundraising ride across the Shawangunk Ridge, just 90 miles north of Manhattan. Pick from two distances 50.4 miles (4,030 ft gain) or 23 miles (2,580 ft gain). Both courses begin and end at the Ulster County Fairgrounds and once you enter the Preserve at mile two, the course is over 95% gravel on our famous network of historic carriage roads.  For 2025 we are reworking the 23 mile course and will be sharing it soon. 

  This is not a race; think of it as a super challenging fun ride for a really good cause. Some of the gravel is rough and steep in spots. Expect loose rock – especially on the descents. The long course includes an optional short technical section and a mandatory dismount/bike hike up a rustic steps near the “million dollar view.” Bring your gravel, cyclocross, or mountain bike. Class 1 e-bikes are permitted if you can manage the technical sections. No road bikes, please.

  You won’t be timed but you will be well-fed. Look for well-stocked aid stations with water, Skratch hydration and energy bars and bananas. A post ride party with food and music awaits you at the finish. Be sure to carry some food and water, and maybe extra clothes depending on the weather - this is a rain or shine event. You’ll be sharing the carriage roads with hikers and climbers, so bike bells are highly recommended. Be courteous to hikers and other riders when passing. Pack a spare tube, tools, and pump as there’s no mechanical support on course and no sag wagon. Helmets are required.

  *Shout out to our friends at the Open Space Institute for granting us access to the River-to-Ridge Trail and to the Mohonk Mountain House who grant us special access to Sky Top and the golf course area for the event day only. Bikes are not allowed on carriage roads near Sky Top so you cannot pre-ride these sections of the course. No exceptions – If we blow this, access to Sky Top and the golf course will not continue. PLEASE DO NOT POST PICS FROM SKY TOP ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.

  The 50.4 mile long route will start at 9 AM. Cost $150.
  
  The 23.3 mile short routes will begin at 10 AM. Cost $125
